Puerto Vallarta is a Mexican resort town that sits in the heart of the Bahia de Banderas (Banderas Bay), the largest natural bay in Mexico. Large cruise ships from all over the world enter Banderas Bay all year round. The friendly people have developed an understanding of different populations around the world and know how to make the public feel welcome. When people visit Puerto Vallarta not a minute of vacation fun goes to waste; there is as much to do at night, as during the day. From golden sandy beaches dotted with colorful shelters overlooking whales paying in the bay, to afternoon trips on party-boats or water taxis, to evening entertainment in elegant hotels or charming local eateries, Puerto Vallarta has it all.
Waterfront Reality
There is nothing like living on ocean waterfront. The long views into the distance mist cannot be duplicated by anything else on this planet. Nearly every home, condo, or hotel has patios that allow guests or homeowners to enjoy the vast expanse of water in front of the residence. Due to the way that Banderas Bay is located, there is a natural protection from storms that allows an unsurpassed natural vision to unfold nearly 365 days a year. The depth of the Bay allows whales, sea turtles, birds of all descriptions, and other sea life, usually only visible from further out into the ocean, to be viewed from within a safe inlet.
Local color is not a problem either. A few feet back from the elegant hotels that dot the shore line or the native eateries that have held on to their beachfront, are many aspects of Mexico that attract a visitor or resident. Shops for finding an unusual treasure made in a native village to the finest jewelry on this earth are available; Puerto Vallarta has it all. You can walk along the Malecon Boardwalk and be totally at peace enjoying the beach front, magnificent statues of bronze, and totally unreal sand sculptures being created daily before your eyes.
Laid-Back Condo Living
The land rises up from the ocean toward distant mountaintops. That natural slope offers many options for high-rise condo living right on the waterfront to two-story options much further back and up the mountain. There are lovely old haciendas and modern condos, with just about any residence you can imagine in between. There is beauty to Puerto Vallarta that can only be appreciated in person.
